Waiting On Wednesday: Since You Asked

Since You Asked
Author: Maurene Goo
Publisher: Scholastic
Publication Date: July 2013

Synopsis:A humorous, debut novel about a Korean-American teenager who accidentally lands her own column in her high school newspaper, and proceeds to rant her way through the school year while struggling to reconcile the traditional Korean values of her parents with contemporary American culture.

My Thoughts:
I love cross-cultural books and I recently started loving contemporaries so I feel like, Since You Asked, is going to be the perfect intersection between two of my favorite things! Also I'm pretty much in love with this cover it cracks me up, and I think I have those glasses lol!

This book sounds awesome! As an Asian-Canadian, I can definitely relate with having to reconcile traditional Asian values vs more contemporary NA values, so I'm really interested to see how the author will tackle this! Sounds like a funny read, too, so even better! Great pick.
